Read how she went missing here and here.
Sarcasticly, the missing of this girl happened not more than 24 hours after Pak Lah vowed to take more drastic action to fight crime by installing CCTVs. You really think that CCTV can help prevent crime? The Nurin case was captured on CCTV but what happen now? The culprit is still walking freely on the streets.
I believe Pak Lah’s pledge to fight crime is more of an election gimmick! In fact, the crime rate rose by 13.4 per cent last year but in the four years of Abdullah premiership, crime rate shot up by an even more alarming 45%.
So what can we normal citizens do to have a safe neighbourhood? We need a government that really cares for our personal safety and could provide peace and harmony. Feeling hopeless to our current corrupted government? Here’s an alternative choice - DAP has decided make crime, law and order the top national theme in the next general election – which will be a first in the nation’s 50-year electoral history.
