Zambry finally came out from hiding yesterday and accused me of subjecting him to a “trial by the media” over the RM217M cost overrun of the MAPS project.
He also accused me of making accusations against him through the media everyday when the audit on MAPS had not even been completed yet.
How stating facts in the internal audit report and questioning the decisions made in the MAPS project is subjecting him to a “trial by the media”?
Let me set the record straight that whatever I have stated for the past few days in my statements and media conference were all facts documented in the Special Internal Audit Report on MAPS which has been completed and publicly published on Bursa Website.
What I did was merely questioning the decisions made on the MAPS projects and the lopsided agreement – the RM250M shareholder advance agreement PCBD was made to sign.
If Zambry feels annoyed to answer questions on decisions that he has made when he was in office, I would suggest him to quit politics and start a personal business so he need not be accountable to anybody.
Zambry as the former Menteri Besar and the Chairman of PKNP cannot wash his hands off the MAPS project as I have stated in my media conference on Wednesday that PKNP group practised a centralised decision making process during the previous management. All decisions in PKNP group were made at PKNP level.
Zambry also dare not answer my question as to whether he is aware of the financial problems of MAPS main contractor SDGM and also the RM250M shareholder advances. It is impossible for Zambry as the Menteri Besar and PKNP Group Chairman to be totally unaware of the issues and problems in the MAPS project.
I urge Zambry to stop diverting the issue on the RM217M cost overrun in the MAPS project and explain the decision on signing the RM250M shareholder advance agreement.
